Cleaning out my mother's things today and I hit the jackpot—a whole cache of what I can only assume are the tiniest spoons in existence. I've spent the last hour trying to figure out their purpose, and I'm genuinely baffled. 🤔

I know Villa listen to supporters generally after a few years of a strained relationship as the club grows and evolves into a fit for purpose 21st century club. So I'd hope that the club would consider opening Villa Park, big screen, music and celebrate the club on the day of the Final. Get a couple of local bands, a rousing MC, charge £10 with a free drink or two, and make Villans who can't go to Istanbul feel involved. It's their day too. Aged 11 i wouldn't have been able to afford to go to Rotterdam but I could have gone to VP and been very excited indeed. Lots of families who already go to games and are financially stretched deserve to feel the magic, and those kids are the future of our club. Some fireworks, music, pop and crisps for a quid, a beer for the same and all of a sudden we make the most important people at our club who can't go to Istanbul, feel a part of the pride. Hope @AVFCOfficial gives it a little thought, I'm seeing a huge appetite for it on here.

@ChangingPlaceUK This is so true. Working in the sports sector advocating for disabled fans we know that when there is a lack of facilities it means people cannot attend. They stay away and so do their friends and family. #ChangingPlaces

A reminder: You can’t know how many people need a #ChangingPlaces toilet if they can’t visit without one. None of us would choose to go somewhere without a toilet that we can safely and comfortably use. It’s not a lack of need – it’s a lack of access.

Whether you’re a teacher, a plumber, work in insurance, health, retail, tech, or any of the other jobs that make our world go round - accessibility and inclusion aren’t “someone else’s job”. They show up in everyday decisions. Here are five simple ways anyone can be a better ally to disabled people, whatever your role: 1) Design for real people, not an imaginary “average”. Ask who might struggle with this space, service, process or product, and what would make it easier. 2) Make it easier to ask for adjustments. Clear contact details, flexible options, and a welcoming tone go a long way. People shouldn’t have to fight to be included. 3) Listen without defensiveness. If someone flags a barrier, it’s not a criticism of you. It’s information you can use to improve things. 4) Think beyond compliance. Meeting the minimum standard isn’t the same as creating a good experience. Accessibility done well benefits everyone. 5) Normalise inclusion in your everyday work. You don’t need to be an expert. Small, thoughtful actions repeated over time change culture. None of this requires a special job title. Just awareness, curiosity, and a willingness to care. That’s how more accessible, inclusive worlds get built. #Inclusion #Accessibility #DisabilityInclusion #EverydayAllyship

🏟️ Key considerations of disabled supporters, across the areas of inclusivity & accessibility, fan experience and facilities & safety, have been included in WSL Football's new design guidance for women's football stadiums. Level Playing Field was pleased to feed into the development process, with the guidance marking a significant increase in focus on stadium design and management in women’s football, ahead of the publication of Accessible Stadia Second Edition, which will apply across all sports.
Barclays Women's Super League@BarclaysWSL

WSL Football have today announced their first ever design guidance document for the delivery of elite women's football stadiums in England, laying out how new purpose-built venues and current facilities can be adapted for those at the heart of the women’s game.

All this was in my booked 1st Class wheelchair space when I got on. Staff moved it to the unbooked, smaller wheelchair space. Then advertised "extra luggage space" in this carriage, over the PA, whilst telling people to help seats free from luggage. @TPEassist not OK.

@ian4downton A high percentage of them don’t because after planning permission is granted they say they are “not viable” and no one holds them to account! Where do you expect low income families to live??? Most council houses were sold under the right to buy and never replaced
