🚨 I NEED YOUR HELP 🚨 Violent crime is out of control, carjackings, shootings, home invasions are normal now, and that should not be the case. Families don’t feel safe in Stoney Creek, Winona, the East End, across Ontario, and Canada. We have a chance to fix this. The Jail Not Bail Act from my colleague @ArpanKhanna will keep violent repeat offenders off our streets. Here’s where you come in: Contact your local MP TODAY. Tell them to support this bill. Our kids and our seniors deserve safer streets. Let’s make it happen when Parliament resumes next week.

Maybe you’re glad Charlie Kirk is dead. Maybe you think he was hateful and harmed your community. I’m not going to convince you to feel sad. But I want to show you where both sides are headed. Because when the assassin fired, they didn’t just hit him. They hit all of us.

@jamesschwartz @HenMazzig Except, it doesn't? This is 100% virtue signaling considering none of these minor actors would ever go work in Israel at any film production studio. So are they implying they won't work for Jewish film studios anywhere in the world? Because that puts zero pressure on Israel

@HenMazzig It’s not rocket science. Boycotting Israeli companies puts additional pressure on the Israeli government to stop their ethnic cleansing and genocidal campaign in Gaza. 🤷‍♂️

Over 1,000 film workers have vowed to refuse to work with "Israeli film institutions implicated in genocide and apartheid against the Palestinian people." So, my question is how you would implicate a film studio for genocide? I don't know of a single film studio in Israel that goes around killing people or making movies saying, "We should kill all Palestinians." So is this the easiest boycott ever, or are they saying that by virtue of being Israeli, they are guilty of horrific crimes?

If men didn't exist, you would not be going for a 2 AM walk. You would be huddled in a fucking cave, terrified of the dark, praying that a predator doesn't find you. Your biggest concern would not be your playlist; it would be finding clean water and not dying of dysentery. Your "independent" life, your "freedom," your entire modern existence is a luxury subsidized by the sweat, blood, and sacrifice of generations of men. You live in a castle built and maintained by men, and you are complaining about the presence of the guards. Your delusion is not that you want to walk at 2 AM. Your delusion is that you believe you could have the world you currently enjoy without the very men you so casually dismiss. You have mistaken the protectors for the threat, and in doing so, you have revealed a level of blindness that is not just delusional. It is pathetic.

@loungingmee Men showing up in the comments to prove you right. The same men who would probably prevent their girlfriend or little sister from roaming around solo at 2am, but just can't put into words why not.

Being Jewish in Europe this summer means not telling colleagues you’re spending your holidays in Israel. It means hiding your kippa under a hat. It means whispering on the subway when asking who’s coming to Rosh Hashanah dinner. It means leaving synagogue quickly after Shabbat because lingering outside is dangerous. It means seeing how people change once they hear your Jewish name. It means being afraid to send your children to a Jewish school because it might be a target. And afraid to send them to a public school because of how other kids might treat them. It means dreading the return to university, where Jewish students are bullied, harassed, and sidelined. It means watching Jewish friends and family grow sadder and more hopeless each day about a future in France, Belgium, or the UK. Being Jewish this summer means living through an unprecedented wave of antisemitism, and watching the world stay silent.

@duggan_dol10960 @zulfu_emek @HenMazzig You avoid my original question, by your logic we can go around assaulting people if we dislike their race or religion. When countries are at war many innocent people die on both sides. War is awful and shouldn't exist. But using it to validate attacks in other countries is wrong.

@duggan_dol10960 @zulfu_emek @HenMazzig Dolores, you never actually answered my original question. Death during any war is awful but validating assaults that target specific race, ethnicity or religion is inhumane, ESPECIALLY when they have zero relation to either country at war. FYI Israel and Gaza are at war.

@zulfu_emek @HenMazzig Can you tell me how a Jewish 70 year-old grandma, who was just stabbed for "being Jewish" while getting groceries at a Loblaws in Canada, had a hand in Gaza? Break it down to me like I'm 5 years old as to why she deserved it... Aside from the generic "because she's Jewish."

@ctvottawa According to multiple social media posts it was due to the elderly senior wearing a Star of David. What happened to proper journalism? They did NOT know each other yet you felt comfortable writing that as a possibility? But left out the why?

@H_Singh1708 @CollinRugg With this mentality you should homeschool your kids. Let's see you try to teach anything to your child that has unlimited access to their phone... in a week you'd begin implementing restrictions for THEIR greater good. Phones are not a part of their education.

NEW: Schools across the country are requiring students to lock their phones in a phone pouch for the entire school day, can unlock the pouch at the end of the day. Teachers and principals say phones in the classroom are becoming too much of a distraction. “The last couple years, we left it up to the teachers to kind of govern their classrooms,” said Danville High School Principal Jacob Bretz. “We were just running into the constant battle that temptation of that phone being accessible in the pocket, wondering do I have a message, feeling the notifications go off and the urge to check them.” Students are required to put all cellphones, ear buds and smart watches in the magnetically locked pouches at the start of the school day. At the end of the school day, the students are allowed to unlock the pouch. Good!

@StefanMolyneux I've heard a great theory that the boomer *hands off* grandparents are the ones who didn't want to parent or didn't enjoy parenting the first time around. Honestly, it's tracked so far. The involved grandparents I've seen LOVE their kids and grandkids, obsess over them even 🥰

The Sean Feucht controversy has brought to the fore, once again, the fact that a large percentage of Canadians view other people’s rights as being subject to their approval. At the slightest hint of a difference of opinion, they consider other people’s rights to be forfeited.

@Kate_carlyle_kc @SweetCaramella7 @_nomadic_soul Without medical intervention my child and I would have likely died (i.e Emily Bronte) It is rare for me to speak to another mom who had an *easy* pregnancy + delivery, very rare. Pregnancy is a beautiful but difficult process for most - I think you're missing the OP point.

Men, if you had to have the flu for 38 weeks and then experience the pain like a kick in the balls every two minutes for anywhere from 2-48 hours and your body would never be the same afterwards, would you do it if you got a baby out of it?

@anva____ @Kate_carlyle_kc @_nomadic_soul There are large age gaps between each kid as it took a long time to get over what happened, plus there was a chance it wouldn't happen in a following pregnancy. I convinced myself it wasn't *that* bad and my child WAS so worth it. But I could never do it again.

@joyannekathy @Kate_carlyle_kc @_nomadic_soul Im so sorry you are going through Hyperemesis right now! I did with all 3 pregnancies and can relate to how dark your mental state can get to. You've got this, it will be worth it. No one can really understand unless they've experienced it, it's awful.
