Please RT for visibility I recorded a patient's final heart sounds on my Littmann 3200 stethoscope today. Plan is to turn the audio into a memento for the family. It's an older model steth that requires a bluetooth dongle to get the audio. 1/2

Unfortunately, with the new academic year, we do not only say goodbye (but see you later) to our amazing graduating fellows @Hiren_PatelMD, @Ruthvik_SM, @AShereMD, and Arturo but also to Superstar Attending and SLU Cards Fellow Alumni Dr. Stephanie Windish. You will be missed!

Anyone else having issues with Cordis guides recently? Not my preferred guide but use from time to time. 2 kinked guides in last week. One from radial and one from fem. No major torquing before kink occurred. This was was turrible

@DrJayMohan @BeaumontIC What’s your experience with long hydrophilic sheaths instead of usual short ones and no cocktail? One of my attending uses this approach and says he rarely has issues with spasm.

In IC training at @BeaumontIC we only used verapamil. In practice I’ve been using 3mg verapamil (always administer first) and 50% of time I add 400mcg of nitro (usually avoid in AS, Stemi, marginal Bp). What’s your go to cocktail for radial artery Cath? #Cardiotwitter
Roberto Léo da Silva@DrRobertoLeo

Should we always use prophylactic nitro in transradial catheterization? Or does this change with operator experience? Find out in our recent article. #radialfirst @ccijournal onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/cc…

@willyhfrick Make sure they cover all possible gaps. Don’t risk a splash getting through anywhere. Gimme a holler tomorrow and let’s see if the division can’t get this taken care of for you 😉

Got to catch up with two of my senior fellows, Dr. Zach Oman (now almost halfway through his IC fellowship) and @Ruthvik_SM, at the Arch Elite fellows course this weekend. Looking forward to attending @ArchSymposium! @SLUCards #WIIC
