Rwanda continues to closely monitor the Ebola outbreak reported in the DRC. There are no Ebola cases in Rwanda, and precautionary measures are in place to reinforce prevention and early detection. New entry control measures are in effect for travellers from the DRC.

Yesterday, the first 5‑day infection prevention and control (IPC) & WASH FIT training concluded. More sessions through May–June will reach 500+ staff in 17 hospitals. Led by @RwandaHealth with @unicefrw & @WVRwanda, supported by Korea, it aims at boosting IPC & EVD preparedness.

Mass Sports for Pregnant Women initiative was launched by @cyso_org in 2019 and today marked its third edition. The programme was introduced to help prevent or reduce challenges linked to pregnancy-related body changes, including leg swelling, back pain, stress, and discomfort during pregnancy. Through guided exercise and movement, expectant mothers are encouraged to stay active safely and confidently. 🧘🏾‍♀️🏋🏾

Can a pregnant woman exercise? Yes, and it can greatly support both the mother’s and baby’s health. 🤰🏾🏃🏾‍♀️ Today, during #CarFreeDay, we joined the Children and Youth Sports Organization (@cyso_org), @CityofKigali and other partners in a mass sports session for pregnant women aimed at promoting healthier pregnancies and maternal wellbeing. The initiative also helps challenge the misconception that pregnant women should avoid physical activity altogether. 💚 #AdvancingHealthRights

#SHIELDProject Many young girls in #Rwanda are silently carrying the weight of early pregnancy, abuse, and lack of #SRHR knowledge struggling through life without guidance . #NMSAR is stepping in to bring awareness, hope, and informed choices where they are needed most.

Last year, I had the privilege to be trained as a trainer on Positive Masculinity during a ToT organized by @giz_rwanda, representing @InformedGens. That moment marked the beginning of a transformative journey for me and the youth advocates I work with. #InformedGens #SayNoGBV
