#CSW70 | This morning in New York, the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women officially opened with a session marking #IWD2026. Throughout this week’s proceedings, 🇷🇼 Rwanda’s delegation will be led by @RwandaGender Minister, Hon. @U_Consolee, alongside representatives from @Imbuto Foundation, @GenderMonitorRW, and civil society organizations @rwamrec, @Haguruka, @HDIRwanda, and @DuterimbereO.

Today @npcrwanda and @unicefrw host the National Goalball and Boccia Championships at NPC Rwanda Gymnasium. Children with visual impairment and cerebral palsy are competing, challenging stigma and showcasing ability.

To mark #InternationalGirlsDay, this weekend @unicefrw joined @GuidesRwanda for a 2-day #SolutionLab empowering 16 girl leaders from 6 districts to tackle climate change. Via the "GLACC" initiative, 11K+ girls were trained to take #ClimateAction to their schools & communities.

Today, we held a #Kwibuka31 commemoration event at our office, in remembrance of our dearly departed colleagues who were killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Though the mood was solemn, the resolve remains steadfast: Never Again. Remember - Unite - Renew
