Account of Rwandans living in Utah. #Life Elavated

This evening, Rwanda received an award from @WorldBankGroup recognizing its strong performance on the newly launched Human Capital Index+ (HCI+), after emerging as a top performer relative to its income level. The award was presented by @MamtaMurthi , Vice President for People at the World Bank. The HCI+ uses data on health, education, and employment outcomes to assess how effectively countries translate investments into productivity highlighting Rwanda’s sustained gains in health, learning, and skills development.

We thank @GovWhitmer and the people of Michigan for proclaiming April 7 as the Day of Remembrance for the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Truth matters. Survivors matter. #Kwibuka32 #NeverAgain kwibuka32.ibukausa.org/michigan-procl…

As we mark Kwibuka, we honor the victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi and reflect on its unspeakable horrors. The United States stands with Rwanda in unity and reconciliation and firmly rejects denial or minimization of the genocide.

Happening now: The 32nd Commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy, Washington, DC, bringing together the diplomatic corps, govt officials, academics, students & the community to honor the victims and reaffirm a shared commitment to remembrance and prevention. #Kwibuka32
