Something like this happened to me in Nanjing. I was on my phone while walking and rolled my ankle in a crack in the pavement. A city worker leapt like a panther, made sure I was OK, then took a photo of the crack and then he showed me that he uploaded it and told me it’s going to be fixed.

The left and its idea of beauty. I am not going to insult Obama supporters 🤣🤣😎 for something Obama did. Let us simply pause and examine the thinking behind his monument and whether there is any coherent aesthetic idea at work there at all. The left of yesteryear had great writers, architects, artists and critics. They were often the fountain of culture, or at least one of its great tributaries. At some point, beauty ceased to be pursued and was replaced by messaging. The result is public art that no longer uplifts, consoles or commands reverence.
