@scottygb Enjoyed that, thought it looked really strong. Not everything landed, but what did was really good. Really nice to see some new faces as well and not just same old. They made it feel like a big deal and finished strong. Went as well as it could for a first showing IMO.

Why are so many people seemingly rooting for #snluk to fail? Yes, it’s an American import, and tbh the US version of Saturday Night Live isn’t often that funny… BUT, why WOULDN’T you want a new comedy show that gives a massive platform to new, young British talent to succeed?!

@nonregemesse I enjoyed the show, it’s great “daft bloke viewing” with some good moments. It’s not prestige TV by any stretch but Cillian Murphy has always carried it well. Just think Steven Knight’s writing isn’t that great, same with all his stuff.

@RaphPH Same mate, hope it’s success. It’ll take them some time to work out, but I think it’s a good thing. A great platform for talent and great for music as well hopefully. Just hope they don’t throw the towel in early and stick at it (if it’s got some promise). I’m rooting for it.

@SpencerAlthouse If there’s one thing Hollywood isn’t, it’s proportional. He made a passionate comment about an art form he loves, fair enough really. I respect him and his ambition, was it clunky? Maybe a little but so what, don’t need to bear the guy around the head with it.

@jessicaelgot So after it, the public isn’t aware of it, or understands what it is. I understand huge stories and being asked questions about it, and I don’t really feel for politicians as it is part of the job, but I don’t think it helps the public know what’s going on.

Feel like this is so illustrative of the government’s problems. They are literally investing £5bn - the same amount as the Greens are promising to spend - on a very similar scheme Pride in Place. But each time it’s been announced on the day of a major scandal so no one has a clue
