to me, this is one of the most accurate opinions on the game. it's similar to now I feel about it too. Game isnt perfect , it has some jank but you sort of make your own adventures. There is something special with Crimson Dawn, it has a lot of gameplay mechanics to it to learn and it won't be for everyone but there is just an intriguing world to explore.

My first impression so far... Crimson Desert is a VASTLY complex game that is a deep dive... a true single-player sandbox game that most modern players are not used to. So far, the main issue many people have with Crimson Desert is that it doesn't include the typical "hand-holding" common in most Western AAA games. It has barely any tutorials and no spoon-fed mechanics, leading to the overwhelming, confusing, and obtuse complaints coming from many players. For most things, you are left to "figure it out on your own", and for many players like me who love the complexity, that's the beauty of it. For me, I HATE tutorials. I hate game "onboarding". I want to just dive in and explore the world and figure out the mechanics as I go along. The other issue is the story. The story is mid, but for the game, the story is just there as a backdrop, not as the main focus of the game. The real "plot" is whatever adventure you, as a player, go on... not some linear track story common with pretty much every other western AAA game. For me so far... the beauty is in the discovery, the “oh shit, that’s how it works” moments, hours of exploration and experimentation. That is where the friction is so far. Complex controls, complex combos, Inventory where you can't loot everything you want, convoluted crafting system, a quest line that doesn't hand-hold, no theme park, no linear narrative epic, and a world where a rabbit hole deep dive is the point. This isn't a game like Elden Ring where its hard but simple, or other open-world games where mechanics are spelled out for you. It really feels like an old-school sandbox with a 2026 open-world glowup.

My aunt was laid to rest today but I didn't go to the funeral , I struggle being around lots of people as I get overwhelmed, anxious and stressed out and then I work myself up to a point I get a headache or feel ill. I couldn't go to my other aunt's funeral a few weeks back either. I feel bad not being there to say my goodbyes but then i don't want to make myself ill for the sake of others. This year hasn't been off to a great start so I can only hope things will improve going forward, not just for me but for anyone else who's having a challenging 2026 so far. Stay strong, it's ok to be sad too but remember to speak up , we are not all alone in this world

@BeAfraid_Movies i would , it's a fun game. once you can do a good few playthroughs quickly on. its probably the shortest of the main line RE games but its still good.

RE 3 remake is on sale for 10$ and I never played it since it has less content than the original. Should I go for it? I'm leaning towards yes

I've put in about 7hrs in #CrimsonDesert since release yesterday so I just want to share my initial first thoughts on the game : . The game looks gorgeous and is a very vast and open world . Movement , esp jumping feels very cumbersome at times due to the control scheme for jumping/fine jumping. . Combat is great . it's fast, fluid and visceral but lock on has a tendency to not work and you can often be swinging your weapon at nothing . Story seems a bit all over the place to begin with as it feels like it jumps around without much context or backstory but guessing it will make more sense as we go through the game. . It can feel a bit overwhelming since it plays like an MMORPG but with the MMO part stripped well back. there is a surprising amount of things to see, npcs to talk to, items to pick up and discover . Picking up small items can feel like a puzzle in itself to line up your character to a specific point it will register so it can prompt you to pick it up. also holster your weapons when not in combat as it will not let you pick up items when you are not holstered . Don't rush into this game, take your time as there's a fair amount to grasping the mechanics, the game can feel a bit janky at times but there is something special here although it won't be for everyone . this is an open world game that will keep me busy for many many hours over weeks or months to come so I will saviour my time on it.

Has anyone else seen the Tofu Easter egg in #ResidentEvil9Requiem ?? I just witnessed it now , when playing as Leon in the R.P.D after the Tyrant chase scene. Go back to the corridor where the corpse of the dead police officer missing his lower jaw . as you approach the T junction of that hallway he will appear for a brief few seconds in the window then leave. am I right with this @CAPCOM_MHB @CapcomEurope @CapcomUSA_ ??
