@JazzLikesToGame That’s an extremely fair assessment. Also very helpful, especially as there are story based games that are more gameplay focused and ones that have choices with consequences. The important thing is knowing what the experience you’re paying for is, that needs to be communicated.

Just completed Mixtape 📼🔥🎶 and I have some thoughts: 💭 +nice coming of age story about a close group of friends showing how things change when you grow up ⬆️ +nice soundtrack I liked some of the songs here, but I didn’t recognize many if I’m being honest and I was born in the 90’s and grew up then -it’s most definitely an interactive movie type game where you’re mostly playing for the story/atmosphere so for those wanting more gameplay this isn’t that at all -no choices or consequences within the story nothing you do really matters in the grand scheme of things -I did not connect with the characters much if I’m being truthful -super short and to the point It’s a solid game it definitely doesn’t deserve the hate it’s been given everywhere, but in my eyes it is not a perfect 10/10 and that’s okay You can enjoy a game for simply being the experience it is and not have to have a game changing experience ❤️ I’d give this game a 6/10 because for me I’d just want more gameplay and interaction personally, but I believe it’s still a game worth checking out👌🏻

@AvengerMags Yes! Or to like a series/genre/medium & not like certain specific individual iterations of it. Almost like we’re all unique individuals who can have complex thoughts and feelings, with a massive wealth of content to explore & don’t simply neatly fit into algorithmic categories.

FWIW, people are allowed to criticize a series they enjoy and call out parts that make them uncomfortable. And just because those things may be different from what you find uncomfortable, doesn't make them invalid. This should be understood ATP, but maybe I'm crazy. 😅

Looks like a high quality remake of Star Fox 64, my favourite one. Characters look a bit odd leaning more animalistic than anthropomorphic. Mainly I’m not sure about the price, and June is FFVII Rebirth time. Star Fox looks good but a maybe for me right now.

@jjkat82 So, following up on your question after reading this week’s haul - I think I liked the main story in Spider-Man/Superman more - interesting set up and strong character work in the back half. But Superman/Spider-Man has stronger back up stories (all but one were fantastic).

@jjkat82 No problem, you’re in for that. Thanks for your interest. I haven’t yet read either new comic, I’ll have to get back to you on my thoughts. Superman/Spider-Man is a high bar to clear for me, especially as they kept every story connected with Superman & Spider-Man characters.
