I just found out about this great tool from Karl Sims about Reaction-Diffusion. It would have been super handy when I first played with the algorithm years ago. I especially like the parameter selection view on the right, showing its full impact range!

@pigdev anything that processes input to produce output (probably intentionally implemented) is a mechanic. It's a mechanic in Dark Souls that when you rest, get new estus, that tilting the analog stick makes your character move, wearing heavier armor changes your roll

When I say "Game Mechanics" what comes into your mind? For instance, in a platformer game, is jumping a mechanic? Moving? Are jumping and moving mechanics in an FPS?
