You don’t need to spend the next week agonising over things that don’t really matter. Do some of this and you might have a chance of reconnecting with the British people. One reflection I have from my council election experience. It was nice getting on with all the candidates. We laughed, we talked, everyone worked hard. Do we have different politics? Yes. Did some have views I find wrong? Yes. But we got on and talked respectfully. Real life isn’t Twitter.
