@vbattaglia @jstewartIndy I do remember that and the time it took to put back together. In your time speaking with the planners, did you hear anything on plans down the road for mt. Comfort and broadway by Culver’s? It can become quite the backup with new businesses, neighborhood growth and the tracks

INDOT came into Fortville and tore up our main thoroughfare, leaving a 30" trench between the East and west lanes for about a year. The trench was guarded only by the occasional round cone, instead of jersey barriers.
Cars were following into the hole at night because there was poor lighting.
I was on the Town Council and asked INDOT why they didn't use Jersey barriers. They said "safety is a trade-off."

@RyanMervar @TesCalendar1 Yes it needs to be calibrated since it has been replaced, but just a simple reset of the DAS ECU in Service Mode will bring it back on. Also in service mode you only have to clear the repeater cam calibrations rather than having to do all of them

The top likely won’t be completely snug, as usually there is at least a little bit of space so that the camera doesn’t rub on the fender. Also depending on how cleanly it came out, the metal of the fender is extremely easy to bend when removing the camera and can lead to it being slightly deformed and causing the camera to be even less flush.
Is the top able to slide out when you lock the bottom clips in or is it just not closing the gap between the fender and the repeater as much as you expect it to? If the top is actually loose then yes you need to apply more pressure on the top so that its clips make it all the way in

@Speenuh @TesCalendar1 There is more of a gap than I thought would be and definitely more than original side so I’ll have to pull and try setting again making sure to be careful with bottom clips not breaking. Once the wires are connected should I be able to see camera working on display or does it nee

@Speenuh @TesCalendar1 Any tips on replacing repeater camera on 2023 model 3? I have one hand on the back side inside wheel well and place top in first, but when I roll it down to click the bottom in the top is not getting snug. Should I be pushing the top in with some force to keep that snug? Thanks

Fortunately they fixed this on the Model Y and the 2021 mini-refresh of the 3 and put it on the bottom instead of the top. A small quarter-inch ratchet and short T-20 socket are your friend when doing this. Do it a bunch of times for practice and it gets really easy. Back when I was a mobile tech I got my timing down to about 3.5 minutes door open to door close time swapping these out 🙂
