🇶🇦 Richard Keys Drops Newcastle Sale "Bombshell": Fact or FRiction? In a report that could signal a massive shift in the Premier League landscape, veteran broadcaster Richard Keys has claimed that the Saudi Public Investment Fund is looking to offload Newcastle United. While the news is shocking on face value, I'm personally viewing his 'whisper' with a healthy dose of skepticism given hairy hands history with the club! . Writing on his personal blog, the beIN Sports presenter suggested that the ownership project, which began with a £305m takeover in 2021, may be reaching its conclusion. Keys claimed that he has heard "whispers" that the Saudis are looking to sell, noting that while there are interested parties, the PIF is holding out for a £1 billion valuation. He added that a figure closer to £500 million is likely more realistic. Despite the gravity of these claims, I'm taking his report with a heavy grain of salt. Keys has a well-documented history of "anti-Newcastle" rhetoric, having previously admitted he wished the takeover had happened to "any other club." His past predictions regarding the initial 2021 sale were famously inconsistent, leading me to think his latest 'bombshell' is a calculated attempt to stir the pot during a low point in the season. Furthermore, the geopolitical context cannot be ignored. Keys is based in Qatar with beIN Sports, and given the complex regional rivalries involving Saudi Arabia, critics will argue that his narrative may be influenced by his employers rather than genuine inside knowledge of the PIF's boardroom. The rumored £1 billion asking price represents a massive markup from the original purchase price, and if Keys is correct about the £500 million market value, any potential deal would be a long way off. For now, we are left to wonder if this is the beginning of the end for the PIF era or simply more speculative noise from a long-time critic. The coming months will be pivotal in determining whether the club's recent struggles lead to a change in players, management or a complete change in the hierarchy.... or proof that Richard Keys chats 💩!!!! #NUFC #NUFCNews #Newcastle #EPL

🇧🇷 Bruno Guimaraes is probably the only non-Geordie player on Earth who would genuinely pick this version of #NUFC over bigger and more established clubs like Manchester United. Tino Livramento and Sandro Tonali, however, are different matters. Expect both to leave this summer.

@MagpieMediaX I cant really be bothered about tonali and tino if they want to go, let them. We want 11 brunos in the team. Quite happy enough to take 150-200 and use the money to buy players who want to play for us.

@AdamP1242 I dont even think 7 wins would do anything to dull the pain felt today. Losing to your (recently promoted) main rivals twice in their first season after years away is unforgivable. Time for him to go

Newcastle United’s season is done now realistically, they put themselves into a massive hole after losing the derby again and likely won’t climb out with the backlash and toxicity from failing at 2 huge games over the past week Break will also truly sink in the defeat #NUFC

FT: Newcastle 1 Sunderland 2. Newcastle ran out of ideas and energy after they went ahead early on. Sunderland deserved the win with a brilliant away display, shorn of multiple key payers. The host’s mental block against their arch rivals continues… #NUFC #SAFC

🐈‍⬛ And Brobbey, scores! He’s been terrific all game. Tino Livramento goes to sleep and the big striker forces home from close range. That goal had also been coming… Sunderland lead 2-1 here… #NUFC #SAFC

@agbnufc_ They've allowed Howe to have complete say over everything. Maybe Paul Mitchell was right about the project all along. Its not fit for purpose. They wont sack him though, spineless ownership.

This is what happens when you build a team around passion, runners and 'leadership' by the way, which the manager is responsible for. It's not enough. You need actual good technical footballers and we barely have any, they've fucked this up massively.

@LukeEdwardsTele You cant lose against your biggest rivals twice in one season and play appallingly in both games. He needs to go Luke, ill always love EH for the trophy and the champions league but this season has been on par with Steve Bruce. Howe has had 400 million to spend, Bruce hasn't.

Another woeful second half performance from Newcastle United and another derby defeat. The fallout from this will not be pretty or pleasant. Big questions will be asked and it’s a long wait for another game to put it right. Sunderland did a number on them. You do not brush that off #nufc
