This isn’t about SF “playing it safe” or not taking on the DUP. It’s about working people fed up with 19 years of no delivery. Crumbling health service Failing education system Infrastructure falling apart Casement & A5 going nowhere That’s not strategy, that’s incompetence.

@SuzyJourno And yet people have less money in their pockets. Services are depleted due to tax cuts or austerity or ideological issues. They are in this state due to incompetence. If people want change they need to vote for it.

@SuzyJourno In those 19 years SF and the DUP have delivered a crumbling NHS with the longest waiting lists in Europe. A crumbling education system and literally crumbling schools. Crumbling infrastructure with major potholes riddling the road system.

Embarrassing drivel from SF today, who couldn't muster a single argument for keeping a pointless differential in titles, which was a concession to unionist insecurity and opposed by Martin McGuinness. I want a new Ireland, not petty Old Firm politics in the wee north.

This state was designed so a nationalist could never hold the office of First Minister. History changed in 2024 when Michelle O’Neill became First Minister. The SDLP proposal today to abolish the First Minister title brings them alongside some of the most extreme voices in loyalism and unionism, who want to ensure no nationalist holds the position again. Incredible!
