Dan Hurley lost to Mark Turgeon in the NCAA Tournament one time and was so insulted he decided to become the best coach in college basketball

@JBRBracketology @byesline I'll put it like this: I think in this hypothetical scenario, if the Rockies are actually trying their hardest, the Rockies are scoring more runs in just Game 1 than the Broncos are scoring across the entire season

@RyanWarmly @byesline I think they could keep some games within 100. Sometimes MLB players struggle hitting 45 mph lobs lol. But there will be some UGLY scores too. The better question is could the Broncos score?

I can’t believe I’m even going to ask this but we’re having a split debate behind the scenes at station… If the Denver Broncos played the Colorado Rockies 162 times would the football players win a single game?

@JBRBracketology @byesline I just think a pro team is going to average 5 runs for every out, minimum. So with 27 outs I'm not sure how they are averaging under 100 runs. It's not just hitting the lobs, but NFL players needing to read fly balls, field sharp grounders in the dirt, etc.

@TVatWork Boredom is literally the only chance. If the Rockies are motivated to try to win by as much as possible, they are winning every game by 50+ runs

@JBRBracketology @byesline I know basketball isn't football, but the greatest basketball player in history couldn't even get out of the minors. The idea that a group of NFL players could keep a game within even 100 runs against a team of actual MLBers actually trying to win is completely asinine

@byesline I feel very confident the Rockies would go 162-0. And I'm not sure any of the games would even be close.

It is absolute lunacy that Major League Baseball doesn't have a single afternoon game playing the day after Opening Day

@BrendanDarr I need Silver to sit down and clearly explain why it's better to improve the chances of the 12th worst team in the league drafting a superstar, at the expense of the worse teams who need it more

@scott_pianowski Too early to say anything definitively, but based on pedigree/reputation and this fun start, it sure feels like the type of rookie crop that reshapes the next era of baseball. And the best of the bunch hasn't even made his debut yet

@DBro_FFB @AlfredoABrown You loved Superman (2025) as much as anyone though, and that was also a reboot driven by money. A good story is a good story and if the new Harry Potter series can expand upon storylines the movies ignored, I'm all for giving it a chance to succeed rather than assuming it fails

@AlfredoABrown absolutely understand that but this is just another money grab reboot dude. the main focus of Hollywood these days. Reboot, sequel, or prequel anything with a known base/franchise. It's so damn tired.

The new Harry Potter series looks great. They hit us with the “Philosopher’s Stone” as well. I’m in.
