@mariotwtconfess Mario, heck, Nintendo wouldn’t be where they are without SMB on NES being stellar. Most 2D Marios being meh, I can get, but all of them? Nah.
Mario RPGs have shaky quality. SMRPG, PM64, & M&LSS are great. TTYD and BIS are stellar, but the rest range from good to downright awful.

@StuffToon With the amount you get with the NSO expansion pack, it’s hard to really complain about it.
I wish that GameCube and N64 games came out at a faster pace, but there’s plenty on there now.
I think being able to buy and keep the games individually would be the ultimate substitute.

@RyderPWS Especially now, it’s very hard to legitimately argue that the old Virtual Console model is more cost effective than NSO, even as a yearly subscription
I wish there was a way to purchase individual games permanently for sure, but what they’ve got going works tbh

I would’ve said yes in a heartbeat back in 2019;
But Virtual Console Emulation on Wii U was mostly ass. SNES & GBA games were fine, but Wii U was the worst way to play NES & N64 games.
But now the NSO library is so big and emulation is decent to where… it’s a tough choice now.

@ChronoKatie Yeah it kinda doesn’t have many different objectives that test various weapon types.
The hidden dungeon levels had potential to do that, but they’re more so platforming challenges more often than not.
It’s usually just get to the goal, combat caves, open sandbox, or boss.

@RyderPWS My only real issue with SR is that it lacks the variety of other Splatoon campaigns. Some other objectives for the missions would have been stellar

@ChronoKatie It’s tough because OE was pretty much perfection. From the level design, to the challenge, the vibes, to the finale, there’s pretty much nothing wrong with it.
SR is the most ambitious, but has a few small cracks in it. Finale is awesome but doesn’t have the shock value OE has.

I’ve been thinking deeply about it for the past few days, and I think Sony pisses me off more than any video game company right now, except for maybe Ubisoft & EA.
PlayStation is genuinely just fuckin’ dead to me, and Xbox is rotting in a corner. No reason to bother with ‘em.

I don’t think Sony realizes that if PlayStation goes all digital, there’s no reason to stick with them aside from if they up their exclusives a LOT.
You’d be getting a new PC or Steam Machine for the same price as whatever the PS6 will cost. So… like… Sony, who the fuck cares?

Makes it easier to move even further away from PlayStation than I've already been.
If you're primarily a PS gamer, I hope the best for you. But I fear you'll be screwed when Sony's the only one in control of game sales.

It’s good to be able to explain why you like or don’t like something and understanding it on a deeper level can be very beneficial to having a more holistic view of a work, but sometimes fun is the only reason you need

Like at that point, I’d rather just take “I like it” or “I don’t like it” with no reasoning. I mean opinions don’t really need an explainable reason. Could just be good or bad vibes.
