@zengugi To be fair I wouldn’t really blame anyone for not noticing since by the time she shows up at the Rakuzaichi they’re gone 😭 I guess they based this figure more on her first appearances, but it’s weird that they remembered to include those but not Shiba’s bracelets

Btw It looks like they added little round things to the ends of Hiyuki’s earrings. It might be based on the anime design, but I'm not sure why they'd add them. Doesn't that just make it harder to animate (?) Anyway, the design isn't final yet, gotta wait and see.

@Nina_once_Again @AcquaintSTHFan I think it’s a product of Sonictwt being really confrontational about different interpretations and preferences regarding Sonic. It becomes less about engaging with the media and more about whether it proves they’re right about the “correct” interpretation of the blue rat or not

@Nina_once_Again @AcquaintSTHFan I’m sure the manga is very good and has a lot of its own merit going for it, but it really does feel like half of the people who read it only do so for the sake of using it for Twitter arguments 😭 this sort of behavior applies to a lot of Sonic stuff and it’s really lame tbh

@mayniarck It definitely has different conditions for overuse than normal, I think. When he tries to apply weight to Ariu, his arms start to break apart and bleed, due to it being “beyond the threshold.” Overuse and going beyond his limits seems to have proportional physical recoil on him

now we know that shiba's sorcery is itazura, but what makes his sorcery overuse is a lil diff than other sorcerers? they js immediately get nosebleeds but for him its the heavy breathing instead. does his body works fundamentally diff than others? thoughts? 🧐

These movies have always thrived on being earnest. They’re big action movies made for fans, sure, but they also take their characters seriously and care about what they’re trying to say with them. If nothing else, I hope 4 continues to maintain that balance

Sonic 4 is going to be really telling of how much further the Sonic movies are going to go I feel. It’s so hard to top the emotional resonance and tragic core of something like Shadow’s story, so I’m really interested in if 4 can top it

Something I think is interesting about Shiba is how he’s entirely defined by his relationships with others. This man has dedicated his entire adult life to his best friend and his son, but what is it that Shiba actually wants for himself? What’s his life outside of them like?

Which, of course, makes it even worse when those friends eventually die or (in Azami’s case) strain so much that even just being around them feels like a confrontation. A man who has nothing outside of his friends being forced to watch as he loses them one by one.

I think this is especially apparent so far in the Seitei War arc. He’s constantly threatened with punishment and being fired at his job but he doesn’t care, like he has no personal goals or aspirations. Everything is about having fun and doing things with his friends.

"nobody talks about Kagurabachis story" is an unfathomable position to me. Like genuinely just living in an alternate reality. Been here since chapter 1 and have seen discussion for years! People don't engage with the series and act surprised they don't see anything besides memes
