Things escalate to where the officer threatened to violently pull him from his vehicle. The man asked to wait for backup. When they arrived he alerted he has everything on video. You would travel 50 miles in 7 seconds at 25,000 mph. So at 300,000 ft above the earth the capsule would have 7 seconds before it hits the earth. So it goes from 25,000 mph to 350 mph in less than 7 seconds with just the fro took with the air to slow it down. This is what caused the 5000 degree heat on the outside of its capsule. The parachute deploys at 8:03 with 8:07 splashdown. So from 25,000 mph and 300,000 ft above the earth it has 14 total seconds to heat to 5000 degrees and then be cool enough to produce no steam.
