My first term as a Douzenier comes to an end this year and, I am currently considering whether to re-stand. The states yesterday posted about the electoral roll closing on 15th October. Dear #chog please, if you wish to vote in the upcoming parish elections ensure you are on the roll and that details are still correct (ie if you’ve moved the address will need correcting). If you are in Castel I may need your vote and, I understand other parishes are looking likely to have contested elections too. It’s too late to leave it and, then realise that someone you really want to vote for is standing as the elections are in early November. Thank you.

@MaryLowe501 @Govgg @CPA_Secretariat Totally agree. We can't really expect younger islanders to engage & get excited about island politics if they can't even see the proceedings on a screen?

If only @Govgg States meetings were live streamed in the same way many jurisdictions have for years. Even the @CPA_Secretariat latest report on elections recommends getting youngsters involved through social media, SoG could start with States meetings how debates take place

Hi Gavin & Tom. I think it is great that you’re doing these engagements. Would you consider doing the odd one at an alternative time at all? This time is completely impossible for me & I am sure others likewise. I know when I wrote to all Deputies regarding possible engagement with Castel Douzaine/Parishoners the advice that came back was to offer options on time and place rather than being consistent…..which we are now doing.

🗳 Our household voting is ☑️ Not going to lie, teen was not entirely engaged, but was interested in policies that may enabling them to afford to stay here, including those of #ForwardGuernsey & others). I admire everyone who has stood...the toughest job application ever.
