#GuernseyElection 🗳 Not my perfect 38 (24 were on my list), but it feels like a more progressive house. Representation 🆙️ - 11 women elected—still <30% but up from 20%, and all strong candidates. Fair play to all who stood. Here’s to a more productive term 👌

🗳 Our household voting is ☑️ Not going to lie, teen was not entirely engaged, but was interested in policies that may enabling them to afford to stay here, including those of #ForwardGuernsey & others). I admire everyone who has stood...the toughest job application ever.

@GuernseyPress @matt_fallaize Five years ago he was one of the most unpopular people in Guernsey, and now he’s lauded as the saviour of our democracy. Fair play to you Matt, a lot of people would’ve become bitter and vengeful after an experience like that.

@DavidPiesing63 @matt_fallaize @GarryCollinsGSY @pvbsc1 @jojomay1 @Govgg @EYnews I think this the first time I've seen TRP mentioned in this election, the unfairest of corporate taxes. It is debilitating for smaller biz, a tax on profits would be fairer. Not hopeful for reform of TRP mind.

@matt_fallaize @GarryCollinsGSY @pvbsc1 @jojomay1 @Govgg @EYnews Although large TRP bills has captured extra tax revenues from quite a few larger companies, and of course regulated businesses pay 10% (and maybe soon 15%), so many are actually in the tax net already.

@gavinstpier Sounds a great initiative. Jersey Business is such an awesome and well funded resource in Jersey. I would love to see such support for non finance sector in Guernsey.

And another who tried to get driving licence a month before 17...yes you can but only using paper form, then online available when turn 17...because encouraging paper to process = efficiency

And my colleague whose son didn't renew 50cc licence in time...now is banned for a year on 50cc bikes, but allowed to move up to a 125cc licence. I'm thinking this bureaucracy is utterly inefficient 🧵

We recently let our son get a motorbike. At 16 he's passed his CBT & theory for A1 (125cc licence). But a P licence up to 50cc is another form + £36 + another CBT!? 👉Extra admin & discourage him from lower cc bike🤷‍♀️ @Lindsay_Gsy this can't be for real!?

Update. @Govgg have removed paper forms for people to collect and fill in, have to queue for them now. Online inaccessible for some. Queue down two flights of stairs and not moving. No wonder government is broke when so difficult to hand over money!
