@KurdistanWatch The entire Kurdish main media/reporting is an absolute joke. They have been casual’ised to the point where almost every scene looks like a parody or a mockery of an ‘actual’ reporting channel. We, in fact, have multiple the ONIONS reporting the news.

The Kurdish media has reached the grotesque level of interviewing little kids whose parents have just been killed, and not just in any kind of death, but in a very loud drone strike where the two children were literally next door, heard it all, and have clearly been left devastated and traumatised. And this is all because the owner of this channel, Areen Masrour Barzani, likes huge social media engagement, which has led those running these channels to do almost anything to get it. There is no editorial judgment, no content quality filter, just a willingness to do anything for likes and comments. This has been massively affecting people’s mental health, while also causing major problems within the Barzani family itself because, given the rivalry between Masrour and Nechirvan, once AVA Media started doing this, Rudaw’s standards also began to decline, producing the same kind of exploitative and degrading content so as not to be beaten in the social media numbers game.
Kurdistan Watch@KurdistanWatch

The KDP’s anti-terror unit says the kamikaze drone was Iranian, not launched by Iraqi militias, and was fired from Iran. The attack killed Musa Anwar, a KDP Peshmerga member, and his wife, Muzhda Assad. The couple’s two children were fortunately not at home at the time.

I am deeply saddened by the news of a drone attack on the residence of a Peshmerga family in Erbil, which resulted in the martyrdom of him and his wife. I condemn this heinous crime in the strongest terms and denounce its perpetrators. The targeting of civilians and civilian homes is a war crime. We will convey the voice of the victims to the international community to help end the oppression and the unjustified attacks against the people of the Kurdistan Region.

Erdogan is one of Trump’s closest partners. Turkey is a NATO member with the second-largest army and shares a long border with Iran—so why isn’t he helping? #Trump already handed the #Kurds in Syria over to Turkey—a major geopolitical favor—so why isn’t Erdogan returning it now

@tinarapport I don't blame the Americans, they supplied billions worth of heavy weapons and training for years. At the end they were run over by the Syrian Army in just 48 hours. They lost 70% of their occupied territory. You can't win a war against a conventional army with hit and runners

You betrayed Kurds in Syria to protect the interests of the Turkish state and made deals with Jolani. Do you now expect Kurds to die for your interests in Iran without any political guarantees? Kurds are done with your status quo games. No trust left. Clear status, not betrayal!

@tinarapport Kurds were PAID to fight in Syria against ISIS, Trump even said that explicitly, just because your corrupt leaders make side deals to enrich themselves, doesn’t mean you were betrayed. You made a business deal.

That is why its hard for Kurds in Iran to trust Donald TRUMP after what happened to the Kurds in Syria . ` video :“This Kurdish lady, with tears in her eyes, says: ‘The Kurds sacrificed 15,000 fighters in the US-led coalition war against ISIS. And today, US envoy Tom Barrack has pressured the Kurds to accept Jolani’s regime under bombardment. Now the regime’s flag has been raised in city of Kobani in Syria and the Kurdish flag has disappeared.’” Kurd Alarm reported via Telegram: t.me/KurdAlarm

@CoyIsHot @KurdistanWatch Isn’t that in Iraqi Kurds interest too if that’s the case? They should’ve transferred those weapons to the Iranian Kurds that were fighting bullets with their bare hands then.

Trump appears to repeat his claim that weapons were sent to a “certain group” to pass on to Iranian protesters, but that the groups “kept” them and will “pay a big price” for it. Interesting that he doesn’t directly name names given how he usually is, but from yesterday’s Fox News reporting, it is clear he is referring to some Iranian Kurdish groups. Trump’s full quote: “We sent some guns, but the group that was supposed to give them, which I said would happen to my people, I said it, I called it exactly. We sent guns, a lot of guns. They were supposed to go to the people so they could fight back against these thugs. You know what happened? The people that they sent them to kept them. Because they said, ‘what a beautiful gun, I think I’ll keep it.’ So I’m very upset with a certain group of people and they’re going to pay a big price for that.”
Kurdistan Watch@KurdistanWatch

BIG: Trump appears to be throwing the Kurds under the bus and further exposing them. Here, he told this reporter that he sent guns to Iranian protesters through the Kurds, but that they kept them. So: 1) he says the Kurds, who are based in the Kurdistan Region, were used to smuggle the weapons; 2) he suggests they took the guns themselves, effectively blaming them for the failure of an internal uprising aimed at toppling the regime.

🚨🇷🇺Chechen Fighters ‘Ready to Deploy’ to Iran if U.S. Launches Ground Invasion: Reports indicate that Russian Chechen military units have declared their readiness to deploy to Iran in the event of a ground invasion by the United States and Israel. These combat units, loyal to Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov and integrated into Russia's security apparatus, have stated they will intervene only if the current conflict escalates beyond air and missile strikes. Characterizing the potential mission as "jihad," Chechen forces have framed the intervention as a defense of the Islamic Republic against Western aggression. Intelligence suggests these fighters could be stationed at strategic locations, including Kharg Island or coastal sites along the Strait of Hormuz. If Putin approves, Russia could quickly send up to 1,000–5,000 elite rapid-deployment troops to Iran. However, a larger deployment remains unlikely due to logistical challenges and political complications stemming from the ongoing war in Ukraine. Moreover, sending Chechen soldiers to Iran would place them in direct confrontation with elite American Tier-1 special operations units and sustained U.S. air superiority. Who do you think will win that war?
