This evening 19 Squadron began their deployment at Polivia, with the British Armed Forces. The squadron performed night boat raids in formation and working with aircrew to determine the best landing zones.

Yesterday the South African Air Force's 1 Squadron participated in a dogfight against the Royal Air Force consisting of three rounds. Overall result was: 3:0 (SAAF for the win).

The Mirage III is due to be replaced shortly with the Mirage F1CZ which is currently being built by VCOAF Maltby. Here is a recent photo of the Mirage III which is currently operated by 1 SQN SAAF.

The Lord Southwark was officially sworn in as Lieutenant Governor of the Union of South Africa earlier this evening.

Today we partook in an aerial refuelling exercise alongside the @RAFRoblox. This allowed us to work on our techniques and communication skills within our close partnership. Here's to continued events with the Royal Air Force, who are a pleasure to frequently work with.

Today 19 Squadron had their first selection intake for pilots join the squadron today at AFB Waterkloof. Well done to the three pilots who passed into 19 Squadron. The South African Air Force are recruiting, do you have the standards?

Recently, I have been promoted to the command position of Warrant Officer Class 1 fulfilling the role as Squadron Warrant Officer earning the Rosewood Pace stick.

The South African Air Force has recently been given a new Mirage 2000, simulating realistically the combat elements of a fighter aircraft in the South African Air Force. Thank you to Major General Kenny and WO1 TomGMarshall for their contribution for this new aircraft.
