Yesterday the South African Air Force's 1 Squadron participated in a dogfight against the Royal Air Force consisting of three rounds. Overall result was: 3:0 (SAAF for the win).

The South African Police conducted counter insurgency training with An Garda Síochána at Cape Town yesterday as part of a COMPOL event. The operations were a success and both police forces hope to work together again soon.

His excellency had the privilege of appointing Rear Admiral Narro Blakeston to Chief of Navy after the loss of Vice-Admiral Castamere who resigned after a short term helping set the navy up and getting it ready for a bright future which lies ahead.

With the start of the Holidays the pace has picked up and more of Durban Naval Dockyard has been completed. it is expected to be completely finished within the next 1-3 weeks. @RoyalNavy_RBLX Cant wait to have you guys along to visit!😁

The Mirage III is due to be replaced shortly with the Mirage F1CZ which is currently being built by VCOAF Maltby. Here is a recent photo of the Mirage III which is currently operated by 1 SQN SAAF.

His Excellency was pleased to grant a commission upon Warrant Officer Blake Fairmont. He is expected to be placed into 1 Squadron, SAAF. Congratulations!

The South African Air Force has recently been given a new Mirage 2000, simulating realistically the combat elements of a fighter aircraft in the South African Air Force. Thank you to Major General Kenny and WO1 TomGMarshall for their contribution for this new aircraft.

The South African Navy held its first inspection since officially opening, starting off strong with a good turnout from Naval Command East. Good job to Capt. Killen and PO. De Santos on their recruitment efforts especially.
