13 hours of sustained pressure to reach a resolution.🤝Cohort 11 showed incredible resilience during Day 2 of the Policy Simulation Residency. They mastered complex multilateral negotiations to build coalitions and find a mutually acceptable outcome. An impressive achievement!

Now, the negotiations begin. Led by Program Director Prof. Vukovic (@sumosika), the cohort is deep in their simulation, testing strategies, building coalitions, and learning what it really takes to reach an agreement under pressure.

Greetings from Baltimore! Our Cohort 11 kicked off their Policy Simulation Residency with a tour of @JohnsHopkins Homewood campus. It was a chance to connect with the institution's history before diving into the intensive work ahead.

🤝 Wicepremier i minister cyfryzacji @KGawkowski spotkał się dzisiaj ze studentami Szkoły Zaawansowanych Studiów Międzynarodowych Uniwersytetu Johnsa Hopkinsa (SAIS). Tematem rozmowy była transformacja cyfrowa Polski oraz kierunki rozwoju międzynarodowej współpracy technologicznej. 💬 Rewolucja cyfrowa wiąże się z nowymi zagrożeniami na mapie świata. Polska jako ważny członek NATO i Unii Europejskiej chce odgrywać aktywną rolę w kształtowaniu rozwiązań z zakresu cyberbezpieczeństwa i transformacji cyfrowej – podkreślił wicepremier Krzysztof Gawkowski podczas spotkania ze studentami. Minister Gawkowski podkreślił, że Polska znacząco przyspieszyła swój rozwój cyfrowy, ale w dobie dezinformacji i rosnących zagrożeń w cyberprzestrzeni konieczne są: ✅silne partnerstwa międzynarodowe, ✅współpraca z sojusznikami, ✅inwestycje w innowacje technologiczne. That’s a wrap! MAGP Cohort 10 has successfully completed the Global Residency in Warsaw, Poland. The students gained invaluable insight from key stakeholders to better equip the group as they continue their research for their capstone papers.

The MAGP cohort hosted Natalia Panchenko @NataliPanchenko, Ukrainian documentarian and leader of the Ukrainian diaspora in Poland, for a discussion centered around the strategies, challenges, and goals of Ukrainian activism in Poland, as well as countering disinformation.

The MAGP delegation had the distinguished honor of meeting with @KGawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister of the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The group discussed the Polish national cybersecurity strategy, countering disinformation, and the potential impact of AI technologies.

MAGP paid a visit to the United Nations High Commissioner Refugees office in Warsaw @UNHCRPoland where they were received by Kevin Allen, UNHCR representative. The cohort received an overview of the current refugee response and strategy in Poland.

The MAGP cohort had the privilege of learning about the history of Polish Jews and how continues to shape culture today from Zygmunt Stępiński, Director of the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Our MAGP cohort had the opportunity to discuss economics with Pawel Sliwowski @PawelSliwowski at the Polish Economic Institute @PIE_NET_PL. The group gained perspective on Poland’s current role in the geopolitical economics, energy transition, and the impact of hosting refugees.

Today, @FundPulaskiego had the pleasure of hosting a @SAISHopkins @JohnsHopkins delegation for a lecture and discussion on how defense, security, energy, and resilience intersect to shape Poland’s foreign policy and international standing. Thank you for the engaging exchange!

The MAGP delegation visited to the Pulaski Foundation @FundPulaskiego where they met with Dr. Katarzyna Pisarska @KPisarska, Dr. Maciej Bukowski @mbukows, and Dr. Tomasz Smura @TomaszSmura to discuss conflict within the region, military modernization, and economic structures.

The MAGP students had the honor to meet with the Secretary of State, Pawel Zalewski @ZalewskiPawel. The group learned how Poland mitigates security challenges and the future plans for their operations in Central Europe.

The MAGP delegation had the opportunity to engage in a discussion with the Minister of Finance, Andrzej Domański @Domanski_Andrz. The group gained perspective into the fiscal outlook and budget strategy of Poland, and discussed their position in the geopolitical landscape.

The MAGP cohort had the distinct honor of meeting with Maciek Duszczyk @MaciekDuszczyk, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Administration of Poland. The group discussed migration, border security, and economic needs.
