Bitcoin was introduced over 15 years ago. The real opportunity was never just “crypto assets.” It was real estate, private credit, equities, commodities, stocks, the things that already power the global economy - being brought onchain in a way that makes them easier to access and interact with. And now, after all this time, we’re finally starting to see it. All different types of tokenzied assets are growing massively. Private credit is flowing into DeFi. Stocks are being wrapped and traded 24/7. New forms of capital markets are emerging in real time, right in front of us. It took over 15 years to get here. The timing of the sentiment in this space couldn't be any worse. AI is about to become the biggest user of blockchain in history and it's suddenly the exact moment everyone is bearish af. We're standing at the front door of what could be the single biggest wave of on-chain activity this industry has ever seen and the majority of CT is checked out. The narrative that will probably define the next decade of crypto adoption yet people are too busy doom scrolling or reading shitposts to notice. Sentiment has never been a reliable indicator of where things are heading. There's euphoria at the top and misery at the bottom of every single cycle without fail. If you're paying attention right now, the picture couldn't be any clearer.

Ordinals aren’t dead, there’s just not much quality right now. When projects lean on low effort art and forced narratives instead of substance, outcomes on secondary shouldn’t be surprising.

Something I’ve been thinking about since Magic Eden stepped away from Ordinals. Back then there was always this sense of competition with other ecosystems. Ethereum, Solana, the broader NFT market. It created energy. A feeling that maybe one day we could compete on the same stage. Maybe even surprise people along the way. In a way, platforms like Magic Eden also acted as a kind of anchor for Ordinals. Almost like a bridge to the wider NFT world. Now that it’s gone, something interesting is happening. We may finally start to see what a truly independent Ordinals ecosystem looks like.
