Navigating Bangalore 101 I’ve completed 18 months in blr now, and for anyone who is moving or is new - here’s a guide on everything you need to get started (from an hsr resident pov) (1/n) Basic Stuff - Finding a House (twitter/facebook): tweet and tag @flatsnflatmates, @bangaloreroomi, @peakbengaluru Temporary Stay - Draper Startup House, Koramangala (lots of events also happen there), goSTOPS HSR - if you’re looking for something in HSR (great spaces to work also) Coliving - my flatmate highly recommends FF21, it’s not near to hsr tho Transport - Namma Yatra is awesome, I’m more inclined towards Rapido coz of its UI - they even call to check if travelling late at night

The snub to Sunil Gavaskar at the test series presentation was astounding, racist and pitifully arrogant.

NO. Wow. Absolutely NOT. I don’t know where to start on how wretchedly dystopian this is

Ambulance in 10 minutes. We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities. The first five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram starting today. As we expand the service to more areas, you will start seeing an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the @letsblinkit app. Some more info- • Our ambulances are equipped with essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), stretcher, monitor, suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections. • Each ambulance has a paramedic, an assistant and a trained driver to make sure we are able to deliver the highest quality of service in time of need. • Profit is not a goal here. We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in really solving this critical problem for the long term. • We are carefully scaling this service up, as it is both important and new to us. Our aim is to expand to all major cities over the next two years. Let's do our bit and make way for an ambulance always. You never know when you may save a life.

A professional update: after nearly seven fulfilling years, yesterday was my last day at @ThePrintIndia. During my time here, I got to work with, interact with, and learn from a lot of very interesting, talented, and caring people, both within the office and during reporting.

In 2021, I organized Afghanistan's first all-female flight together with Kam Air. Many media outlets covered the event and the video reached millions of people but what happened to the women after the Taliban took over and where are they now? A Thread 🧵

I love Virat but this is some absolute clown behaviour from him. Just a pathetic attempt to intimidate a first Test player. If this was an Australian player everyone would be frothing at the mouth about the ugly Aussies. #AUSvsIND

Delhi folks have a unique quality. They can go to any place in the world, try the local cuisine there, then confidently confirm that Delhi makes it better. A Delhiite can go to Tibet and tell them their momos are not as good as the ones made in Delhi.

we all grew up in white lights and never bat an eyelid in our parents’ homes. yet grew up to dislike them so much that replaced everything with warm lights in our own spaces.

Turns out Goa Tourism decided the best course of action when tens of thousands of people are complaining about how badly they were treated in the state is this:

@_waabi_saabi_ The chicken pie is great and I’ve asked that my Teh be made with lesser condensed milk. Works perfectly and I told colleagues the exact same thing - it’s like the kada tea that you get at Sendhoor at Kora. Also, the coffee cream cake slice.

1/ PSA: If you walk into the Malaysian "kopi" shop - Kopitam Lah on Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM, it is completely deserted - you can walk-in & get a seat! But just cuz the place is empty - should you go? Here's my honest take on it (after trying it twice) -
