Protesters should be expressing their grievances through dialogue, legal channels, or peaceful demonstrations not by terrorizing innocent people. Attacking Nigerians and other foreigners only escalates tensions, fuels xenophobia, and tarnishes the image of South Africa as a safe and lawful country. The authorities must act decisively arrest perpetrators, enforce the law, and ensure that such mob violence is never tolerated. There is no justification for putting lives and livelihoods at risk over disputes that could be resolved peacefully.
