What a spooky day in ELA! Students presented their spooky stories to their audience (classmates) today. Then the audience had to guess the theme of the story❤️ loving all these spooky stories 👻 @RMMES_STEM @SArmbruster_RMM @KimWMoody1 @rmmfunin4th

“As text complexity increases it demands more complex skills (actions) from the reader.” In our @GrowingRdrsGA PL, we discussed the progression of skills in comprehension and phonics. @GOSA_GA #GAGrowsReaders

Day 2 of @GrowingRdrsGA PL 3 had teachers digging in deep to comprehension goals, key skills, and discreet skills. They gained a deeper understanding of progressions and how to choose strategies based on student needs and assessments. @NicoleMoneyham

@GrowingRdrsGA PL Session 3 is off to a great start. Teachers dug into HB 538, foundational literacy skills, current reading research, high impact routines, and the power of read alouds to build on Growing Readers structures and strategies. @RMMES_STEM #GAGrowsReaders

Love how my students are so into our Save the Bees unit! We had a student bring in a Queen Bee “trap” from a family member’s bee collection to show the class! She did such a great job explaining the importance of the Queen bee!

Ms. Tippens has a safe, academically challenging environment, sets high expectation, and has excellent use of academic vocabulary with our youngest students as they learn new phonemic awareness and phonics skills. #ElevatetheExcellenceCCSD @CherokeeSchools
