What separates adult world-class athletes from successful juniors? Researchers did a meta-analysis on 6000+ athletes from 15 countries. Here’s what they found:

@keithlewisrugby @LeeJarvis10 Refereed a whole season with them in New Zealand and maybe 2 or 3 a game early on and almost none as the year went on. Game was much faster, more offloads and less hear injuries.

U15's Rugby game yesterday and over 30 penalties from the new tackle laws. Few pens because shoulder made contact with ball. At this stage, I'm guessing that game was not enjoyable game to play in or watch with that penalty count. Any others like that ?

@StrictlyObiter Hahaha yeah in completing mine I was thinking I am not too keen to uphold the ADLS version of the rule of law

Completing my fit and proper declaration and undertaking to comply with my fundamental obligation to uphold the rule of law, just as long as that’s more of a Tom Bingham rule of law thing not a LawNews opinion piece rule of law thing.

@rugbyandthelaw Would be a very high bar before we would step in on field, none of us ever had aside from telling the captain to get the player to pull their head in

NEW ARTICLE: A long-overdue piece on the interesting 'sledging' disciplinary case from the Gallagher Premiership at the end of last year. When does sledging cross the line? When should players expect a red card and a ban? Was Joe Marler's ban appropriate? rugbyandthelaw.com/2023/02/28/sle…

Nothing like the piloting of an 'imported' model as a great reminder why there is a need for the #nzhpe community to continue to advocate for HPE as a learning area that is more than a focus on the individual. stuff.co.nz/national/educa…

@jakoboflaherty Can't believe that added to the punishment of the rain we had the punishment of your announcing. Kidding mate, great as always to have you up there and an awesome afternoon with two great games.

Pretty epic afternoon in Tauranga today. Over 2,000 people — many watching from standing rows deep — showed up to watch the Black Ferns battle Australia in miserable conditions.

Whether a coach's comments amount to misconduct involves "consideration of the provisions of Regulation 18 and/or the Code of Conduct, as well as context and prevailing behaviour and standards". Might Dave Rennie find himself in hot water this week? 🏉⚖️ rugbyandthelaw.com/2021/11/19/cas…

@Davidxvx Currently no infringement for illegal dumping (have to prosecute) so should change the definition of abandoned vehicle

I still reckon we need to redefine unlawful parking as illegal dumping.

@AaronLloydNZL Is this feedback directed at you "Who is his lawyer? He’s brilliant, he should be on [television show] Suits, he should be the new Louis Litt, that guy is a freak. Unbelievable. The Blues should be paying him overtime, time and a half, all sorts. That guy has done a fantastic job

@AaronLloydNZL @skysportnz When we moved houses a couple of years ago I made the jump (back when Now only had SS 1-4) but now believe it is way better the box experience. The 24 hour catchup is an issue, but I have found there are so many replays that it will be within 24 of a replay.

It was my great pleasure to join a remarkable group of @asianewzealand young leaders for dinner last week w Minister @jantinetti. We shared stories of good leadership & I inadvertently demonstrated in the photo that one good thing a leader does is let others have the limelight

Geez... imagine if we invested time into supporting teachers to understand HPE in the NZC, allow prioritised HPE in the school day, then maybe teachers would be less convinced by programmes like this 😏 youngandhealthy.org.nz
