KADUNA GOVERNMENT SETS NEW STANDARD IN PILGRIMS’ WELFARE AHEAD OF 2026 HAJJ OPERATIONS The Kaduna State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, intensified preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise as part of its commitment to pilgrims’ welfare and quality service delivery. Ahead of the inaugural flight scheduled for Wednesday, 13th May 2026, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Malam Sani Kila, alongside the Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Ustaz Abdulrahman Hunain, conducted an inspection tour of the Kaduna State Hajj Transit Camp to assess the level of preparedness for the exercise. During the visit, the delegation expressed satisfaction with the state of facilities and operational arrangements at the transit camp, describing it as one of the most modern and best-equipped Hajj transit facilities in Nigeria. The Chief of Staff commended Governor Uba Sani for prioritizing the welfare of intending pilgrims and providing the necessary support that strengthened the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and improved service delivery. The delegation toured accommodation facilities, medical units, registration and documentation centers, feeding areas, security arrangements, and luggage handling sections. Malam Sani Kila emphasized the importance of professionalism, discipline, and proper coordination among officials and service providers, stressing that Kaduna State remained committed to ensuring a smooth, safe, and successful pilgrimage exercise for all intending pilgrims. Also speaking during the visit, Ustaz Abdulrahman Hunain applauded the level of organization and urged intending pilgrims to cooperate with officials and pray for peace, unity, and progress in Kaduna State and Nigeria. The inspection visit reflected the administration’s determination to deliver a seamless Hajj operation while further positioning Kaduna State as one of the leading states in Hajj administration and pilgrims’ welfare in Nigeria.

KADUNA’S FIRST LADY, HAJIYA HAFSAT UBA SANI, DISTRIBUTES THOUSANDS OF SANITARY PADS TO SCHOOLGIRLS This morning at the Abba Kyari Banquet Hall, the “Flow With Confidence” programme was officially launched, a flagship project of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Initiative. Representing the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the Wife of the Governor of Kaduna State, Hajiya Hafsat Uba Sani, spearheaded the campaign to distribute disposable sanitary pads to schoolgirls across all 23 local government areas of Kaduna State. Empowering Through Health and Hygiene Focused on empowering schoolgirls through health, hygiene, and mental wellbeing, the event featured the distribution of 9,996 sanitary pads. Nationwide, the initiative is designed to provide a year’s supply of sanitary pads to students in every state, with special attention given to rural communities where many girls struggle to access or afford basic hygiene products. The initiative aims to reduce school absenteeism and ensure that no girl is forced to miss school or drop out due to a lack of menstrual hygiene supplies. The Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology, Mrs. Patience Fakai, who represented the Wife of the Governor of Kaduna State, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her compassion and commitment to the welfare of women and girls. A total of 155 students were selected from schools across the 23 local government areas of Kaduna State. In addition to the sanitary pads, each school received a support package courtesy of Hajiya Hafsat Uba Sani. The 320-bed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital in Kaduna State will stand as a national referral center. This hospital, which was first initiated in 2009 by Arch. Namadi Sambo, was finally completed and commissioned last year. Kudos to Governor Uba Sani for fulfilling the long standing dream of the Kaduna people. He noted the ongoing BRT corridor project (the only one outside Lagos), the deployment of 100 free CNG buses that had served over 1.6 million residents, and the approval of a 50KM light rail project worth ₦1 trillion.
