Today, during a press conference with the @USAO_LosAngeles, U.S. Attorney Martin Estrada and @ATFLosAngeles special agent in charge Jose Pedro. We announced the arrest and federal prosecution of Ari Young who attempted to murder one of my deputies, Meagan “Forsberg” McCarthy. I’m extremely grateful for their independent review of this case and the prosecution of this violent criminal. McCarthy was assaulted, severely injured and narrowly escaped being murdered. All of this happened after answering a domestic violence call in the city of Victorville. I am grateful for Martin Estrada, and the federal prosecutors who are working on this case. Thank you for protecting law enforcement officers and bringing consequences to those who would attack and harm them.
