While there have been many W's for fast balancing, the WSTR nerf was not one that has aged well.
After putting in tons of effort to make it workable, even after the recent buff there is far too slim of a margin of error for it and feels unintuitively awful majority of the time.
It needs to be buffed again. While it shouldn't be an easy 2-tap, I think it should be able to 2-tap purple shields very close and on average be a 2 tap + punch or 3 tap (stack overflow). WSTR slug should be able to 1HKO head, but have steep damage dropoff to limit range appropriately.

@MarathonGG_ @MarathonDevTeam Commented on their post but I think painter needs to be banned regardless it sets a precedent and serves as a zero tolerance example, and is jusftified imo cuz painter knew what he was doing and continued to do so with the malicious intent of killing crews

Footage of the Marathon players view when @NAPainter_ and crew exploited their way into the Compiler clear room and jumped a team as they were doing the Compiler boss fight on Cryo Archive.
For clarity, there is not supposed to be any way into this room unless you beat compiler. Painter spent hours discovering a map exploit where he could "out of bounds" from the map and get into that room and jump people who were finally getting their compiler kills.
He's on his stream right now gloating that he's spoken to a Bungie dev about it and they promised they wouldn't ban him for it so now him and his party are running it all night to ruin peoples compiler runs.
@asalisbury / @Ziegler_Dev ....did someone from @MarathonDevTeam really tell him that he wouldn't get banned for this? Because this sucks.

Sony’s CFO Lin Tao confirmed Marathon will continue to be supported!
Here is what they said in full -
“In our studio business, earnings from Bungie's title portfolio did not reach our expectations, so we downwardly revised our business plan and impaired the full amount of the fixed assets related to Bungie except for goodwill.
Player reception to Marathon is strong, with the game receiving a Metacritic score of 82 and more than 90% of the player reviews on Steam being positive. Engagement metrics such as retention also remain at a high level.
Going forward, we aim to improve the performance of the game by working to retain highly engaged core users through the introduction of additional content, further improvements in the gameplay experience and expansion of the user base.”

Creative director Julia Nardin explained that the team has the overall story direction mapped out but will keep it flexible to incorporate player feedback She stated, “We know where we want to take the story over the next few years, but I don’t want to say it’s completely ‘locked in’ because it’s important to us that our players be able to help shape it.” The backstory of what happened to Tau Ceti is “locked,” with more clues to be revealed over time as the story evolves. “It’s also important that players can jump into Marathon at any time. They’ll always be able to uncover the mysteries of Tau Ceti’s past while experiencing its present. We want every season to be a new entry point, and for new players to be able to understand what’s going on regardless of how long we’ve all been running.”
