@scottmelker Was wondering the exact same thing today. No clue why it matters at all what the banks or crypto exchanges want. It should be legislation that helps US Citizens. Nothing else should matter.

Can someone please explain to me how negotiations between two industries, in this case crypto and banking, are relevant for legislation? Has outside influence in politics really gotten to the point where this is so normalized that nobody even bats an eye?

Went from 40kg squat to 110kg tonight! Don't know about bench press cause I'm always alone so I don't wanna risk it without a spot but reckon I can do half that at least now defintely more than when I started gym Physically I'm feeling good that's something I guess

Interesting how the vote passes when the team can vote and is shut down in a massive landslide when they don't. Its almost as if the team can control 100% of the proposals in the DAO.

Waterworld (1995) is over-hated. Strip away the budget jokes and what’s left is a huge, strange, ambitious adventure packed with real stunts and a fully built world. It’s messy, but there’s way more movie there than people remember.

I thought you had it confused with the oil tanker that they lived on. Where in the movie do they show them getting all the cigarettes from a cargo ship?

@SCATDAO You make good points. It’s the cynic in me that believes it was worded that way for a reason. With the absence of being able to verify, I’m forced to trust and these guys haven’t left me with much of that. I appreciate the chat, friend!

@_DigitalGraph Im not arguing with you, you are correct. But the LQ they received for free is enough to completely control the vote. Any LQ they purchased themselves would not amount to much. I would honestly be shocked if they actually purchased any because they got so much for free.

@SCATDAO Yes and if that distinction wasn’t important, why did they include it instead of saying they would fully recuse themselves? As far as bought LQ, we don’t know because they have not disclosed their holdings

@_DigitalGraph Are you saying the distinction is they would still be able to vote with LQ that they purchased themselves? I personally wouldn't have a problem with. If they buy like anyone else seems fair. I dont believe for a second that anyone of them would have ever bought any. LQ though.

@SCATDAO Recusing themselves would mean they cannot vote at all avoiding a clear conflict of interest.

@DaveXCrypto You did an awesome job. Wasn’t aware of this before you started posting. Now everyone is aware.

Welp, I've done my part guys - my goal was to bring this into the spotlight as much as I could and I feel like I achieved that. Of course, this wouldn't have been possible without everyone sharing, spreading the word, and filling me in on the details I missed. In the short term, we now have to wait to see what Liqwid does or if they even respond to see where this goes from here.
