Special thank you to @SteveSternNY for presenting a commemorative copy of our Disability Retirement bill which protects our membership. This is the second piece of legislation that Assemblyman Stern has drafted and worked in a bi-partisan way to see it come to fruition.

Today, we witnessed the next generation of Deputy Sheriff's take their oath. They will graduate in May, joining a force consisting of 249 Suffolk County Deputy Sheriffs. The class consists of 7 former Correction Officers, 2 former NYPD Officers and two Veterans.

Last night, @SCPDHq arrested a suspect in connection to the Gilgo Beach Homicide Investigation. This is a major step forward in bringing closure to the families who lost loved ones. Thank you to the SCPD & all our law enforcement partners who never stopped working on this case.

Congratulations to Deputy Sheriff Inv. Cecilia McAloney on her retirement after 30 years of faithful service to the Sheriffs Office…Inv. McAloney also volunteered countless hours as a member of One Love Dog Rescue, Inc. 501c3 which is dedicated to the rescue of abused dogs.
