Last week, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Nearly one in eight women in the United States will face this diagnosis. Every day, these women continue to raise their families, go to work, and serve their communities with strength and determination. I now join their ranks.
I am grateful to have an outstanding team of doctors who detected the cancer early and are guiding my care, and I am encouraged by a very good prognosis.
I am also deeply thankful for the support and encouragement of President Trump as I undergo treatment and continue serving in my role as White House Chief of Staff.

AUSTIN MAN walks up to a stranger using a computer on the fourth floor of the Central Library, punches him in the head so hard he's knocked out of his chair, stomps on his head multiple times while he lies unconscious on the floor -- then calmly walks back to his own computer and sits down.
The victim is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. Police Chief Lisa Davis (@APDChiefDavis) happened to be in the building and made the arrest herself.
On a city bus in 2024, Vasquez threatened an 11-year-old boy, cocked his leg back to kick him full-force, then stood up and punched the kid's mother in the face. She's a Spanish speaker and couldn't even understand the threats. A female bystander tackled Vasquez to protect them. He punched her in the head repeatedly. All was on video.
Child endangerment charge and two assaults charges. Dismissed.
Six months before that, he punched a CapMetro bus driver in the mouth hard enough to cause a bloody laceration. During the arrest, he called an officer a racial slur and spit directly in his face. Felony harassment of a public servant. Dismissed to "pre-trial diversion."
He also had a felony terroristic threat against a public servant. Also dismissed.
His Travis County record:
• 10 cases
• 3 felonies -- all dismissed
• 4 assaults -- all dismissed
• 0 jury trials
Now someone is fighting for their life in a hospital because a man with a documented pattern of unprovoked violence kept walking out of the courthouse.

NEW: Texas teen shoots woman in the neck who was visiting her friend with cancer before stealing the car belonging to the woman with cancer. 18-year-old Darius DeWayne Hall has been arrested for allegedly shooting Marietta Allison in northwest Houston. The friend with cancer, Cassie Daniel, has shared a post detailing what happened. "There wasn’t any parking, so Marietta had driven around the block to find a parking spot, and we heard the gunshot," Daniel said. "We were later told that her heart stopped immediately when [Hall] shot her in the neck." "The man took her purse, stole my car key, and took the car." Hall was under juvenile suspension for multiple previous charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to court records. Another avoidable death.

Last night I traveled a very long way to see the opening show of Journey's tour
I was worried they would make some kind of woke political message like some musicians do
What I got instead was a touching tribute to those in the military who sacrificed so much time with their families to provide security far away
They had a fantastic presentation about everyone from the soldiers of the Revolution to the veterans of the Gulf Wars as the video board showed images of Arlington National Cemetery
They then dedicated their song Faithfully, about the challenge of being a husband and father while on the road as a musician, to all veterans in our nations history who gave up so much time at home and wanted this tribute to be their celebration of 250 years of American exceptionalism
The crowd went crazy
It was an amazing experience 🇺🇲

This morning, as we wake up and begin our Saturday, there are mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, wives and husbands stepping into harm’s way.
Pray for them.
As someone who served in a war zone, who flew combat missions, and who said the Lord’s Prayer before executing those missions, I know the power of prayer. And I know how much it matters when you’re far from home.
They need our prayers now.
Pray for our President.
These are not easy decisions.
They are consequential.
And in moments like this, bold action requires bold leadership, we have that in President Trump.
May God bless America.

Why it matters is because Voter Roll Integrity matters! Without it, the public won't trust election results!🗳️
👂Listen to the story now at the link below, and if you have received someone else's voter registration card that arrived in the mail, mark it "return to sender" 🛑 and send it back thru @UPS to Harris County Voter Registrar @ElectAnnetteR or the actual election administrator in other counties.
I did the 1st major clean up of the Voter Roll over 25 years ago as the elected Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector, when my office, @HCTaxOffice, removed 50k deceased and felon registrations, some of whom had been voting for decades. That led me to testifying in 2006 to the Washington, DC Congressional House Administrative Committee literally 20 years ago FOR a Photo ID and a US Citizenship list to check voter rolls. The @HouseGOP finally passed the #SaveAct last week to the Senate, but that's another part of a longer story.
From what I heard, voter roll maintenance crashed during the period of Judge @LinaHidalgoTX's appointed EAs, before I passed the Senate bills #SB1750 & #SB1933 to give it back to elected officials. So, if you get Voter Registration Cards for anyone that doesn't live at your home, mark them return to sender and help Voter Roll Integrity! Expect more Bettencourt voter integrity bills at the next #txlege!
