🌍 As #WUF13 comes to a close, one thing is clear: SDG Localization is no longer a side conversation, it is a driving force behind how cities, governments, and partners are tackling the future of sustainable urban development. 🏙️ Across the week in Baku, we saw local and regional governments shaping global conversations, countries advancing multilevel governance approaches, cities sharing practical solutions, and partners building new pathways for collaboration, financing, and implementation. From the World Assembly of Local and Regional Governments and National SDG Localization Frameworks, to city-led housing solutions, action research, and the @SDGCitiesUN Global Community, the discussions reinforced a common message: transformative change happens locally, but it cannot happen alone. WUF13 also showed the power of partnership. Across regions, institutions, and teams, new connections were built, existing collaborations strengthened, and concrete follow-up actions set in motion for the months ahead. The exchange also highlighted the importance of multilevel governance, with Brazil’s National Commission for the SDGs and Mozambique’s Ministry of Planning and Development exploring how local and national governments can work together to scale territorial impact. 🌱
