BoA is the reason I'm a Kpop fan. I know SM groups/soloists more than most fans. I've seen SM boy group stans beating each other from up close.🤣 Neither of their groups was performing like MMM, and I'm not talking about skills. We're talking about award shows. Interacting with your fans at your own concert is different than changing your whole song/performance for the sake of random people who are not your fans.

They still don't get it. Korean actors don't hate Idols! They don't react 'cause if they do, 100s of toxic Kpop stans attack them. The only exception was MAMAMOO in 2016 because they included the audience in their performance, unlike others. People in the qrts proving my point!

Kpop groups were and most of them still are robotic. That's why groups like MMM were a breath of fresh air. Especially that time when no one else did anything like that. The industry kept talking about their performance for months. The reason this is about performance is because other groups don't interact with the crowd, not even TVXQ. The only difference is that SM groups can sing. That's all, but they are still robotic in terms of doing the same choreo. MMM always changed their songs, and adlibs to match the place and people where they were performing. That's why BDA invited them back next year. They never did that to any other group. They did that with Hwasa as well.

@SDavid3388 You're putting two things together that has nothing with one another. It isn't about performance, that's what I was saying. And it's about stanning culture, I agree. Which has changed through time. If you've been following kpop since 2003, you know TVXQ isn't "most kpop groups"

I've been following Kpop and the Korean Film/TV industry since 2003, I've seen it all. It's 100% about toxic Kpop stans. Actors at the Blue Dragon Awards are much more popular and richer even today than any Kpop Idol. The gap is still the same, if not bigger. The only thing that changed is social media, and Kpop feels bigger now, but it isn't. Actors still react the same way most of the time. Unless it's not just another robotic performance you can see from most Kpop groups.

@SDavid3388 No, it's not that. It's simply a matter of generation. I'd say from around mid 2010s the gap between actors and idols reduced and it's culturally different.
