While you are in El Salvador, you should take the time to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to learn more about their efforts to increase H-2B program participation in El Salvador. It has been a remarkable success with a 700% growth in H-2B visa issuances from 2021 to today.

What is going on with the second half H-2B cap announcement? It has been ten days since the last petition was receipted. At first, DHS said the cap had not been met but now acknowledges it has been met. Contact WH and DHS leg affairs to request status update on the H-2B cap!

This is a major difference between the H1B and H2B programs. H2B workers are paid the Level 3 wage which is the average wage for the occupation. H2B workers do not undercut the labor market - in fact - since most of the jobs are entry level jobs, they raise wages for U.S. workers

@SEA_labor @JackPosobiec Nice try. You obviously support cheap foreign labor. You are incorrect. There is a system in place that bypasses America workers, whereby greedy American companies use staffing companies to recruit and place cheaper foreign labor to fill jobs that could go to American workers.

@MithaEXP @JackPosobiec H-2B is a non skilled visa which may fill positions such as tree planters or landscapers. Employers utilizing the program are required to hire any willing and able US worker that applies for the job prior to applying for a foreign workforce.

@NickJFuentes I believe the president is referring to H-2B visas. These visas are utilized in positions such as landscaping on golf courses or hospitality at resorts across the country. The workers come into the country through a rigorous process and return home regularly.

In 2016 Trump said the H-1B program “shouldn’t exist” because it is “very unfair for (American) workers.”
Now in 2024, under the influence of Silicon Valley donors, Trump says he used and supports H-1B.

@MsFab123 @JackPosobiec Each company utilizing H-2B is required to actively recruit US workers prior to consideration of foreign labor. Pay is based on a government issued Prevailing wage which considers location and position requested.

@JackPosobiec Glad that America is finally waking up to this after 40 years, having our manufacturing shipped overseas, 10s millions in illegal immigrants who've taken over complete industries, and the use of the visa system to import cheap foreign labor.

@AngryTrumper @JackPosobiec H-2B visas are based on seasonal, peak load, and one time occurrence needs. Employers with these needs such as landscapers or tree planters utilize H-2B as most US workers are looking for year round work.

Then you must also align with him on H-2B which his companies use (almost every MAL worker is an H2B worker) and has repeatedly publicly defended. Can’t have it both ways.

There is no contradiction between Trump saying he wants to hire and buy American and his businesses use of the H2B program. They are in 100% alignment.
