and exhaustion. No one takes me seriously, sees my experience as valuable, or understand that I’m an expert by experience. I don’t feel ashamed of NOT add more to my already packed plate by adding a paid job. But for now, I’m going to keep educating myself to be taken seriously.

I’m tracey, I’m an unemployed parent carer showing up every. Single. Day. I get no breaks, no holidays, no holiday pay, no sick days, there’s no one to call to step in when I’m unwell, no bonuses or extra hours to work for extra funds, there’s endless training on the job

We are NOT unemployed, our ‘job’ is one of the most important ones. There shouldn’t be a fear of having to express that we are unemployed because of the stigma that has been portrayed of those that are unemployed or claim benefits. There shouldn’t be a sense of shame neither
