I’m experimenting too as there are things that would never last a winter that are coping well now without fleece. The watering is a battle even using p4 on planting it’s becoming challenging balancing watering with other work and budgets.

I provide displays in the north east for local authorities and this year has been a struggle keeping plants alive. We can usually water twice a week but it’s been 4 times a week for the last month.

They are usually a few weeks ahead of us up here on growth as well as when you plant out summer displays.

@SE_Landscaping @theroyalparks @idverdeUK @TRPGuild7 @ThorneyIslandSo @LondonInBloomUK We normally rely on wallflower, erysimum, digitalis, myosotis, bellis & polys, but Crescendo not now as dependable. Red bellis has performed well, but other colours suffered in the wet as have some polys. Pansies usually destroyed by pigeons but look ok, & violas left alone.

I don’t know the full facts but was a good listen and an Interesting take on it as all we hear is the negatives but could there be positives ?

@ChristineWalkd North east England -2 last night and things are still well behind up here. Last years diary shows a 3 week difference to this year.

Slow start to this years growing season in certain parts of UK. I am about 2-3 weeks later than last year with things being very slow to germinate outdoors. Too cold at night still. Plenty of rain which does help, in this part or the UK.

One of my favourite tools. The weed brush saves so much hand work and gets rid of those slippy surfaces.
