When these services are integrated, antenatal care can include malaria prevention and counselling. Schools can provide both deworming and nutritious meals. Families gain more from a single visit.

A mother visits the clinic for antenatal care. She receives iron supplements, but malaria prevention and nutrition counselling are offered separately. That means more visits, more waiting, and often services that do not line up.
