Q: Trump has granted clemency to numerous individuals who have stolen hundreds of millions in Medicaid funds. Can we expect any of these folks to be shown the same mercy? Assistant AG for Trump's Fraud Enforcement Division: I'll take a different question as the final question.

Bilal Mahmood advertising for the new real time investigation center, for “catching crime” with drones and AI surveillance, at Chris Larsen’s private company office in a Trump building, with backdoor access granted to ICE and border patrol, while harvesting data to train large language models on video footage of you and your family.
Bilal Mahmood 馬百樂@bilalmahmood

Last year the Board of Supervisors approved funding to establish @SFPD's Real Time Investigations Center (RTIC). This week I visited the Center and saw both crimes being addressed in real-time, as well as individuals being exonerated for crimes they did not commit. When an active crime is occurring after receiving a call for service, SFPD uses RTIC to launch drones to investigate the crime scene. In one case, we saw a woman who's phone was stolen, and within 15 minutes SFPD was able to both apprehend the suspect, find the fencer who was sold the phone, and return the phone to the victim. In another case, we saw a man who was thought to be a suspect matching an active gun violence incident. But through the use of camera and drone footage in real-time, were able to identify that the wrong suspect had been apprehended and was released immediately. These scenarios are representative of the hundreds of active crime scenes that have been resolved within 24 hours of them occurring in San Francisco since the establishment of RTIC. This responsible utilization of technology and innovation in SFPD is what is helping us address crimes faster over the last year, and I will be looking into further ways to supplement the efforts in the year ahead, particulalry as they affect our open air drug markets.

47 years ago, May 21 1979, over a dozen cop cars burned as thousands marched and rioted in San Francisco after word broke that Dan White received the most lenient verdict for murdering George Moscone and Harvey Milk. The evening would become known as the White Night riots

In the middle of the lunch, Trump called RFK Jr and Dr. Oz and told them he wanted the regulation lifted. Trump’s FDA Commissioner then resigned in protest. Things like this are happening every day. RFK Jr is a total fraud.

NEW: The tobacco company Reynolds American donated $5M to the Trump-backed super PAC MAGA Inc. on 4/30/2026. 8 days later, the Trump administration rolled out a new policy that could be lucrative for Reynolds by allowing it to begin selling flavored vapes nytimes.com/2026/05/20/us/…

Interesting how the world often treats the French Revolution as the only great symbol of freedom and rights, while the Haitian Revolution is treated like a footnote. Yet, Haiti did what many abolitionists elsewhere only preached, i.e., enslaved people rising up and defeating an empire, abolishing slavery, and claiming freedom by force. Haiti’s history deserves equal, and maybe greater, reverence. Brilliant documentary by @AJEnglish 👌🏽

🤬 Lazy journalism… basically a regurgitation of the mayors press release. No, homelessness isn’t down double digits … look at the shelter waitlist data… it’s the same if not worse… note no mention that he’s cut more shelter beds than he’s added. 👇

Who are these people? 38% said Lurie is "providing enough reasonably-priced housing" as a median one-bedroom apartment is now close to $4000. 71% think he's "revitalizing downtown". There's a 32% commercial vacancy rate - down from a peak of 35%, unchanged since the pandemic.
