What bands are worth owning their entire discography? Their ouput must be a minimum of three albums.

@elisebauer @diannej I would agree...it's an order of operations thing. I don't expect recipe directions to read like a conversation (although tone matters and @diannej is a PRO in her writing) but I do expect things to be ordered appropriately, be it actions or ingredients and how they are used.

@diannej Because the first action is getting the bowl. When you prep, cook, etc. you need to know what you are doing it in first. Easier to follow the recipe if you lead with, "in a medium bowl" or "in a large, thick bottomed pot"

"In a bowl, combine..." makes me unhappy. I like to start with an action verb (" Combine the..."), and to write sentences the way we talk. I've made this argument for years, and still find this phrase every day. Why does it persist?

Tapping the internet nostalgia mine for some research: what was your favorite fifth grade self’s cereal and what year was that?

Hey #pastry twitter...who needs to learn more about lamination? Maybe a cook on your team, another curious cook you know, or even you! Called 'the most collaborative class I've ever taken' our next online pro lamination class starts 2/27. sfcooking.teachable.com

@michaelfransen We can definitely make it work vegetarians. While we use animal proteins each week, we also offer a non-meat alternative so you can still learn the same techniques. Hope that helps!

Gaeng Bumbai Eggplant has long been one of our favorite veggie curries — it is a badge of honor how many omnivores love and order this despite it being vegan (and GF). Eggplant is rice flour dusted and crisply fried, served with spicy, vibrant Bumbai curry and topped with basil.

"I owe it to the legacy of all those cooks and servers and bussers and bartenders and diners to continue. I owe the neighborhood, to show—that after everything... we’re still alive." This convo made me cry. And laugh. Thanks @TanayWarerkar @ssdai! 🍗🍔 sfchronicle.com/food/article/F…
