HSH is activating a Hot Weather Protocol from March 17–20 due to forecasted high temperatures. SFHOT will increase wellness checks, share weather and shelter information, and distribute supplies to help people stay safe. More info: sf.gov/inclement-weat…

A Heat Advisory is in effect for San Francisco through Friday 8 p.m. Temps in the 80s are possible in San Francisco. Take steps to stay safe in the heat: • Drink water and take breaks from the heat • Open windows safely to prevent falls (use screens/guards, open from the top if possible, and always supervise children around open windows) • Use fans to circulate air • Check in with neighbors, especially older adults, people with disabilities, and those living alone. • If heading to the beach to cool off, watch for strong currents and extremely cold water. Prepare for the higher temperatures in the forecast: drink plenty of water, check in on vulnerable family members, and keep your pets safe.

The lights are back on at AT&T downtown, bringing more activity to the Powell Street cable car turnaround and Union Square.  Today we welcomed the team back to the space they left in 2023 and celebrated another storefront reopening in the heart of our city. Every business that comes back to downtown means more jobs, more foot traffic, and more momentum for San Francisco.  Seeing the doors open again, and customers heading inside, says a lot about where our city is headed. Welcome back to Powell Street @ATT!
