@SFOLAXMEM That's not true. The Nashville mayor made a similar comment a few weeks ago. These things aren't off the cuff. It's a surfacing of what have been behind-the-scenes discussions. Whether it happens or not ... we'll see.

From what I’m hearing, the lease is already done. The real focus now is downtown investment , $150M from the state plus a $9B redevelopment coming. Folks (myself included) may be 50/50 on the owner, but sounds like he’s putting money into the city too when it comes to downtown.

I'm not long on Nashville, given it's not a major business hub. There are not a lot of regional corporate offices or a strong tech scene to support two-income corporate families, especially if there are layoffs or changes in employment. I know Amazon has scaled back its Nashville growth, and so has Oracle. Their airport is not a hub, which definitely hurts larger, more global companies being there.

@marcjoffe Consumers have voted and said no to OAK and SJC - no amount of name changes or SFO restrictions will save airports people do not want to fly into.

Good news for OAK and SJC which have been seeing less traffic as of late. With SFO forced to reduce landings, flights can move to these nearby airports.
