I grew up on the "accountability" model-- every sin needs to be told to an accountability partner, and especially if you're a guy. While the model is for people to learn to be self-disciplined, they often become shaming.

Tomorrow, marks 3 years since a fire destroyed our Mission. Today we are grateful for the @LAFD who kept families safe and put out the fire.

It's the first day of May and we are still celebrating as we helped 4 families moved into their own homes in the month of April!

Grateful for Laura and Scott, longtime friends of the Mission. They've volunteered countless hours with our families.

Big thank you to the #DisneyVoluntEARS who made and served dinner, decorated our dining room, and dyed eggs with our kids this past weekend.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of our organization. We're grateful for groups like @Starbucks who prepared and served brunch this weekend.

We tend to pay more attention to our own thoughts about people who are experiencing homelessness rather than discovering who they really are

More than ending homelessness we help children and families #dreambig and create a path to achieving their dreams.
