Thank you @FitzalanHigh for visiting and to everyone involved! Our bespoke return visits draw on current research in @CUHistArchRel and invite young people to the university. What a fantastic way to finish our engagement for the academic year. @CU_Outreach

After lunch, we ended the day we the launch of our Mesopotamian Society workshop funded by @Classical_Assoc! Learners created their own cylinder seals, made a top trump deck of demons and deities, made ‘tributes’ for the King (aka Mr Smith) & became Mesopotamian Drs!

Yesterday we hosted @FitzalanHistDep for a bespoke return visit. We had a fantastic lecture from @LoefflerMarion showcasing a historians work. We then split in 2 for a tour of the conservation labs with Eric Nordgren and learned about medieval peasant farmers via a TTRPG.

We also give out the ‘Dave Wyatt’ award, @SHAREWyatt, for the volunteer with the most hours. These certificates provide evidence of the skills developed whilst volunteering for the project. #VolunteersWeek

Volunteers gain a number of skills with SHARE with Schools, all of which are evidenced in the certificate. To gain this, volunteers attend at least 3 training sessions, at least 6 hours of volunteering, write a blog post and complete some self-reflection on their career journey.
