Here’s how you can support athletic trainers and show appreciation for everything they do: 1. Say Thank You – A simple “thank you” goes a long way. Take time to recognize the athletic trainers in your life. 2. Spread Awareness – Share posts, stories, and facts about what athletic trainers do to help educate others. 3. Advocate for AT Coverage – Support policies and initiatives that ensure schools, teams, and workplaces have access to qualified athletic trainers. 4. Recognize Their Expertise – Remember, athletic trainers are healthcare professionals, not just “trainers.” They are educated, certified, and crucial to injury prevention and recovery. 5. Support Safe Sports – Advocate for proper safety protocols and resources for athletic trainers at all levels of play, from youth leagues to professional teams. 6. Celebrate Their Work – Nominate an athletic trainer for an award, write a note of appreciation, or even just bring them a coffee to say thanks! ATTENTION Parents & Community members! We need some help… we need funds to purchase pre game meals for our JV team and post game meals for our Varsity team. Any help is appreciated.

For the life of me I do not understand the select/club sports mindset. Why are we paying thousands of dollars to join clubs so kids can play on the bronze team, to travel to Topeka, to play another bronze team, to go 1-3, stay in a hotel, eat crappy food, while mom and dad bring the younger siblings along, just so they can end up fighting over who forgot to pack snacks for the kids. How about, you save the money, spend time with the family doing something fun, productive or educational, and play school or Rec ball. Your kid isn’t going to college on a scholarship or going to the Olympics. Most won’t even be playing the sport they are in after their sophomore year of high school. Just say no. You will thank me later.

If your non HS sport coach, (AAU, Travel Baseball, 7 on 7), is telling you NOT to play multiple sports in high school they are not looking out for your best interest. They are trying to benefit off our your dollars.
