I'm writing Go again (for what, you'll see later...). `go doc` and `gopls` are like agent superpowers and its shocking how productive agents are out of the box at writing [good] Go code versus other languages I've used (including the JS ecosystem). Also, Go + Zig is a good mix. Go for the higher level and concurrent stuff and then no-libc Zig code plus the Zig compiler for zero dependency cross-compiled cgo with high-performance characteristics (minimize cgo boundary crosses). Chefs kiss. Its funny because a lot of the shitty ergonomics of Go CLIs like `go doc` and `gopls` (prev. stuff like `go oracle` or `guru`) are totally obviated by agents and not just that but in a twist of irony they're excellent for agents. Don't worry, its not Ghostty. Ghostty and libghostty will remain pure Zig; it's a fantastic fit and a perfect pairing. This is for something else. "Wait, I thought you said Go has no place anymore?" I was wrong, mostly because agents are so productive at Go. I won't bring in other languages in this discussion because I don't want to feed the crabs, so to speak. lol.

However, uv from Astral makes installing apps really easy too and I am learning towards that more and more

I have found AI tremendously helpful in getting over the blank page problem.

So yes, ChatGPT writing is pretty easy to spot.
But can I offer a different POV on AI writing?
Most people aren’t very comfortable writing! And it’s scary to write, especially if you’re not confident in your writing skills. Not everyone was taught how to write.
It’s actually magical that AI is helping people get their thoughts out more clearly, even if AI writing has some tells.
I’d rather someone use AI to help share their thoughts with the world than not hear from that person.
Maybe instead of spending time thinking people are ~cheating the system~ by using AI, we start celebrating how AI enables people to put together their ideas. Maybe we stop caring if something’s AI generated, give people the benefit of the doubt.

Thankfully the LiteLLM package has now been marked as "quarantined" on PyPI so attempting to install the compromised update via pip et al shouldn't work

LiteLLM HAS BEEN COMPROMISED, DO NOT UPDATE. We just discovered that LiteLLM pypi release 1.82.8. It has been compromised, it contains litellm_init.pth with base64 encoded instructions to send all the credentials it can find to remote server + self-replicate. link below

I wish I had an orient layer. Full transferrance of meaning is one of the hardest communication skills. It is not sufficient to just dump all of my context on others, often it is very subtle words and phrases that work best because others already come pre-loaded with existing context and experience.

@svpino Compared to humans, I would say the current flagship models compare favorably to a mid-level dev. They can write nice clean code in isolation, but they struggle with complex requirements and specifically how multiple complex requirements mesh together in clean architecture.

Yes, these agents are absolutely horrible at writing decent-quality code.
But any time you say that out loud, there's a swarm of AI-apologists who've never built anything that scream at you, "skill issue!"
You might not care about the code, and that's alright, but you can't gaslight anyone who cares about good code.
